See in real time who is currently viewing or editing the same issue. A floating panel appears on every issue page showing each user's avatar, name and status — inspired by Microsoft Teams presence indicators.
Real-time updates via automatic heartbeat show who is on the issue right now.
Editing, viewing and standby — each with a distinct indicator and avatar.
A role permission decides who can see the overlay; client-facing roles can be excluded.
A minimisable floating panel that expands on click and cleans up inactive users automatically.
Issue Presence shows in real time who is currently viewing or editing the same issue. A floating panel appears automatically on every issue page, showing each user's avatar, name and current status. Updates flow via an automatic heartbeat, and inactive users disappear after a timeout.
Every present user carries one of three statuses: Editing (the edit form is open and they're actively modifying the issue), Viewing (looking at the issue without editing), or Standby (present but inactive for a few minutes). It's instantly obvious whether it's safe to start editing.
Issue Presence includes a role-based permission — Use Issue Presence — that controls who can see the overlay. Enable it for internal staff and disable it for client-facing roles. Users whose role lacks the permission won't see the panel and won't send heartbeats, even where the plugin is active.
